For the foyer at the DKFZ, we have transformed an expansive three-dimensional body into points, which develops from the movement of two circles in relation to each other and whose orbit forms the form.

A floating, intangible body that hangs in space like a light-like apparition. The shape, complexity and size of the sculpture changes through the movement of the viewer and takes on a strong physical component. Through the exact positioning of the points, the body reveals its origin – a logical mathematical calculation that is deprived of its tangibility by the material, the floating suspended suspension and the light. The sculpture becomes a vibrating organ, an imaginatively alluring structure that is virtually at odds with its technical origins.

The idea is to combine the technical, in this case the highly developed diagnostics and treatment of cancer, with the human and organic – the living, sensually.
