Walter Eul

Born in Wuppertal in 1967

After studying computer science and art (University of Hildesheim, Braunschweig University of Art, Düsseldorf Art Academy – master student of Prof. Schwegler), Walter Eul worked as an art director, technical project coordinator, and internet consultant for numerous agencies in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. Simultaneously, he realized various artistic projects in the field of new media/the internet.

Since 2006, his focus has been on painting – including founding the group "deckkraft" with Marc von Criegern, specializing in large-format, site-specific, and participatory painting.

Exhibitions include those at the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum Duisburg, Museum Fridericianum Kassel, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Kunstverein Hannover, Kunsthalle Recklinghausen, Galerie ABTART Stuttgart, projections in Dumbo NYC, kjubh Kunstverein, Cologne, Magazin 4, Bregenz, Landesmuseum Bonn, and Kunstverein Bellevuesaal, Wiesbaden.

2025 at the Kunsthalle Göppingen and Kunsthalle Tübingen together with Heike Weber.
